What it’s like
A pub with a soft play area, a kids' menu and deals like kids eat for £1, but the play bit and the party bit vary from pub to pub.
The draw for your kids is the play area: slides, ball pits and crafts indoors, with outdoor play at some pubs too. It's a pub first, so the play sits alongside the eating rather than being a full soft play centre, and the children's menu runs to puddings and sweet treats. Seasonal things happen too, Halloween being the one they shout about.
Where it gets fiddly is that this is a chain and the details change pub to pub. Children's welcome times vary by pub, children's parties only run at selected ones, and Christmas breakfasts with Santa are at some pubs rather than all. Ring your local before you promise a seven-year-old a party, and don't assume the one down the road from you does what the one you saw online does.
Food is the main event: pub restaurant meals all day, breakfast through to evening, plus drinks and cocktails. There are deals most days, kids eat for £1 and burgers on buy one get one for £1 being the headline ones, which is where the value is if you're feeding more than one child. Prices come from your local pub rather than head office, so the bill depends on which one you walk into.
Booking is straightforward enough if you do it online, but the policy isn't the same everywhere, so a table isn't guaranteed without a reservation at busier pubs. Children's parties and function rooms aren't at every site. Dogs are welcome in the beer gardens, and vaping is outdoor-only in designated areas.

Prices are set by each pub, so you'll find them through your local in the pub finder. The kids eat for £1 deal is the one to look out for if there's a few of you.

Can we bring the dog?
