What it’s like

Family-friendly theatre shows like The Wind in the Willows, plus youth drama workshops for kids keen to get on stage themselves.

This is a proper working theatre, so the main event is sitting down to watch something, whether that's a family show like The Wind in the Willows or one of the youth theatre productions. If you've got a kid who'd rather be on stage than in the audience, there are youth theatre and drama workshops running too, which is a nice way to turn a one-off trip into something more regular.

There's a café and toilets on site, so you're not scrambling for the car at the interval. Wheelchair spaces are available but need booking ahead of time, and they'll take access needs either at checkout or by email, which is worth sorting before you turn up rather than on the night.

The one thing to know before you book is the refund policy: there isn't one. You can exchange for another date of the same show if you call the box office more than 24 hours before curtain up, and there's a £1.50 admin fee on top of any price difference. If the show sells out and they manage to resell your seats, you'll get a refund minus that same £1.50.

Plan your visit

Can we get a refund if plans change?

No refunds as standard. You can exchange for a different date of the same show if you contact the box office more than 24 hours before it starts, though a £1.50 admin fee applies plus any price difference.

What if the show gets cancelled or rescheduled?

Rescheduled shows have your tickets automatically moved to the new date. If it's not suitable, or the show is cancelled outright, you can get the tickets credited to your account, donated to the theatre, or refunded in full.

Is there wheelchair access?

Wheelchair spaces are available but need booking in advance. You can flag access needs at checkout or by emailing the theatre directly.

Is there anything for kids to do besides watch a show?

There's youth theatre and drama workshops running alongside the main productions, so kids can get properly involved rather than just watching from a seat.
