What it’s like

A 120-station gym, twelve-court sports hall, squash and padel courts and floodlit 3G pitches all on one campus.

This is a proper multi-sport site rather than a single hall. There's a 120 station gym covering cardio, resistance, free weights and functional training, a strength and conditioning suite for anyone training more seriously, and dedicated fitness studios if classes are more your thing. Sports-wise there's a twelve court sports hall, squash courts, padel courts and floodlit 3G pitches, plus grass facilities outside.

Opening hours are generous on weekdays, 7am to 10pm, and a bit tighter at weekends, 9am to 7pm. Term-time matters here: hours change during school holidays, so a Tuesday evening slot in August might not run the same as in term time.

Parking is free on-site, which is one less thing to think about, but weekday daytime users need a permit from reception between 8am and 4:30pm. After 4:30pm on weekdays and all weekend it's permit-free, so evening sessions are the easy option if you'd rather skip the reception queue.

Food-wise there's a rugby league hub by the artificial pitches open six days a week with slightly different hours each day, and the wider campus has a canteen, Rosa's, a library café, a Spar and a Wetherspoons, so you're not stuck bringing your own snacks.
