What it’s like

A soft, small-scale play café for under-fives, with climbing, small world trains and a dressing-up corner.

This one's built for the pre-school crowd rather than a big frame for older kids to conquer. There's a big moves area for climbing, crawling and sliding, which is about the right scale of adventure for a toddler who wants to feel brave without you having to referee an eight-year-old off the same slide. Small world play sits alongside it, trains and animals and tiny cars for the sort of kid who'd rather build a story than climb anything at all.

Babies get their own zone with sensory toys and space to just wriggle about, which is the detail that tells you this place has actually thought about the ones who can't walk yet, not just bolted on a mat in the corner. There's also a play kitchen, market stall and dressing up rail for the imaginative play crowd, which is worth saving for later in the visit once the climbing energy's burned off a bit.

It's a café as much as a soft play, so you're not stuck eating at a plastic table with a coffee going cold. Birthday parties are catered for with party rooms if you're after somewhere that isn't your own front room. It's a sensory-friendly space too, which matters if a loud, chaotic soft play barn has never quite worked for your child.

Need to know

Best for
0 to 5; babies get their own zone, toddlers get the climbing
  • Aimed squarely at under-fives, not a place for older siblings to burn off big energy
  • Baby zone is separate from the big moves area, so crawlers aren't dodging toddlers
  • Dressing up and the play kitchen are the quieter bit to head to once the climbing's done

Plan your visit

What age is this suitable for?

It's aimed at under-fives, with a baby zone for the non-walkers and a big moves area for toddlers and pre-schoolers.

Is there somewhere to eat?

Yes, it's a play café, so there's food on site rather than just vending machines.

Can we book a birthday party there?

There are party rooms set up for birthdays, so it's an option if you want it done for you.

Is it a good option for a child who finds soft play overwhelming?

It's set up as a sensory-friendly space, which should help if busy, noisy soft play barns are usually a struggle.
