What it’s like

Adults-only private karaoke rooms in Leicester city centre, from 5pm to 2am, with cocktails and food brought to your table.

This is a grown-up night out, not a family stop. Six private rooms take 10 to 20 people, so it works for a hen do, a birthday group or a gang of mates who fancy a few hours with a microphone and no strangers listening in. It's £5 a head for the room, any day of the week, and that price doesn't move whether you turn up on a Tuesday or a Saturday.

Food and drink are ordered separately once you're in. The kitchen does starters, mains, rice and noodles between £4.80 and £15.50, and there's a cocktail bar if you want something brought to the table rather than fetching your own. Doors open at 5pm and it runs until 2am every night.

Cake and decorations are welcome, sashes and banners included, though they ask you message ahead on WhatsApp so the room's set up and the cake lands at the right point in the evening. Parking's easy enough: St Nicholas Circle is a two-minute walk and open all night, Highcross Rooftop is about eight minutes away, and street bays around the city centre go free after 6pm.
