What it’s like
A free look at Glasgow's police history, packed into a small museum with a proper city centre location.
This is a museum built entirely around one force's history, so don't expect interactive galleries or hands-on play areas. It's a walk through cases and displays telling the story of Glasgow's police, which suits kids who like a good story or a bit of local history more than ones after buttons to press.
It's free to get in, which makes it an easy one to slot into a day if you're already in the city centre and want somewhere indoors for half an hour or so. There's no booking system, so you just turn up during opening hours.
Hours shift with the seasons. From April to October it's open Monday to Saturday 10am to 4.30pm and Sunday 12pm to 4.30pm. Over winter, November to March, it drops to just Tuesday and Sunday, so if you're planning a weekday visit outside summer, Tuesday's your one shot.
Because it's indoors, it's a solid option if the weather's turned and you need somewhere dry for a bit without spending anything.
