What it’s like
Weekly ballet, jazz, acro and musical theatre classes for ages 3 to 18, with a two-week trial before you commit.
Classes here split out by style rather than one general dance session, so a three-year-old can start with the Pre-School Introduction to Dance while an older sibling is off doing Acro or Musical Theatre down the hall. There's Classical Ballet, Jazz, Modern and Contemporary too, and the site says students get moved up a level if the teacher thinks they're ready, not just when their age says so.
You don't have to commit cold. A two-week trial gets you into any class, and only after that are you asked to register properly and book on. Once you're in, it runs as a subscription paid on the 1st of the month, and the fee is spread evenly across 12 months even though classes only run for 38 weeks of the year, which makes the monthly bill easier to plan around even if it feels odd paying for weeks with no class in them.
Cancelling is straightforward in principle, they say it's "no problem", but they do want a full month's notice before a subscription actually stops, so factor that in if you're weighing up whether to sign up before a summer break. Missed individual classes aren't refunded either, though if you join partway through a term you'll only be charged from your first class onward, which is a fairer start than most.
