What it’s like

A big slide, climbing frames and separate baby and toddler bits, split by age so nobody gets flattened.

The slide is the headline here, one of the largest in the area according to the site, and it's the thing your six-year-old will be dragging you back to. Beyond that there's plenty to climb through and over, plus a dedicated section for the under-2s and another for 2 to 5 year olds, so a toddler isn't sharing space with kids twice their size.

It's set up for a shortish visit rather than a whole afternoon, with a stay of up to two hours. That suits the age range well, since babies and toddlers tend to have had enough by then anyway. Under-12-months go in for £3.50, everyone else over 12 months is £7.95, which is reasonable for a soft play with a café attached.

You don't need to book, which is handy if you're deciding on the day because the weather's turned. Weekday hours are 10am to 3pm, weekends stretch to 5pm, so a weekday visit gives you a narrower window if you're planning around naps. One thing to know: you can only eat food and drink bought on site, so leave the packed lunch in the car.

If a birthday's coming up, parties are available here too. With the age split built in, it works whether you've got a six-month-old or a football-mad eight-year-old in tow, though the big slide will always be the one they talk about after.

Plan your visit

How much does it cost?

£3.50 for under-12-months, £7.95 for anyone older. Adults aren't listed separately so it looks like child pricing only.

Do we need to book?

No, there's no booking required, you can just turn up.

How long do people usually stay?

Visits run up to two hours, which is about right for the younger end of the age range.

Is it suitable for a baby or toddler?

There's a dedicated section for under-2s and another for 2 to 5 year olds, kept separate from the bigger kids' climbing frames and slide.

Can we bring our own food?

Only food and drink bought on the premises can be eaten there, so a packed lunch won't work.

What are the opening times?

Weekdays it's 10am to 3pm, weekends 10am to 5pm.
