What it’s like
A proper cinema with sofa-style screens, sit-in waiter service and dedicated screenings for babies, toddlers and school-holiday families.
This is the sort of cinema where you order pizza or a sharing plate and it comes to your seat, so nobody has to miss the trailers queuing at a counter. There's a Baby Club for under-12-months, with the volume turned down and the lights kept soft, and a ticket that includes a hot drink and cake or popcorn thrown in. Toddler Club covers ages 1 to 5 on the same relaxed terms, and each ticket there counts as two, one for you and one for the toddler doing their best film critic impression in the dark.
Outside those dedicated slots, babies under 12 months can come along to any U or PG film before 5pm free of charge, though the site's honest that the sound levels aren't really built for tiny ears and you might get asked to leave if things kick off. After 5pm it's a hard no for babies, which is fair enough but worth knowing if you're planning an evening out. School holidays bring Family Film Club for the 5 to 14s, timed at off-peak slots with the child ticket half price, which is a decent way to fill a wet Tuesday in the holidays.
It's step-free throughout with a lift from the street entrance and wheelchair spaces in all five screens, and there's a relaxed screening format too, lights low, sound down, and nobody minding if someone needs to get up and move about. The Mermaid Quay car park is out of action until spring 2026, so you're looking at Q Park or the Havannah Street car park, both a short walk away. Booking isn't essential but they'd rather you did, and there's a £2.50 fee if you book online or by phone, so turning up at the box office saves you that at least.

Plan your visit
What's Baby Club and Toddler Club?
Baby Club is screenings for under-12-months with the sound turned down and dim lighting, and it comes with a hot drink and cake or popcorn included. Toddler Club is the same idea for ages 1 to 5, and each ticket covers both you and your toddler.
Can I bring a baby to a normal screening?
Under-12-months go free to any U or PG film before 5pm. After 5pm babies aren't allowed in, and even before that the sound might be too much for little ears.
Do we need to book ahead?
You don't have to, but they suggest it so you don't miss out. Booking online or by phone adds a £2.50 fee, so paying at the box office avoids that.
What's on for school-age kids in the holidays?
Family Film Club runs during school holidays for ages 5 to 14, at off-peak times with child tickets half price.
Is there parking nearby?
The Mermaid Quay car park is shut for renovations until April 2026. Q Park and the Havannah Street car park are both a few minutes' walk instead.
Is it accessible for wheelchairs and buggies?
Yes, there's step-free access with a lift from the street entrance and wheelchair spaces in all five screens. A CEA Card companion goes in free.
