What it’s like
A 21+ cocktail and pizza bar with a strict door policy, so this one's for a night off without the kids.
This is not one for the family day out list. Eastcheap Records runs a 21+ policy, with 18 to 20 year olds considered at the door on a case by case basis and valid physical ID required, so it's really a venue for when you've booked the babysitter and fancy a proper night out instead.
If that's you, the practical bits are worth knowing. Happy hour runs every day until 7pm with 2-4-1 on all cocktails, and there's pizza alongside the drinks menu. Secure footwear is a firm rule, so trainers with no backs or flip flops won't get you through the door. The free cloakroom only operates Thursday to Saturday, which is a bit of a faff if you're in on a Monday with a coat you'd rather not carry round all night.
Opening hours shift through the week: it's 4pm starts Monday to Wednesday, then 2pm from Thursday to Saturday, and closed Sunday entirely. Table bookings are handled by a reservations line open weekdays 10am to 6pm only, and there's a guestlist option that gets you queue jump until 10pm without a table or entry fee. The venue says it's accessible for wheelchair users but with limited disabled facilities.
