What it’s like
Adults-only MMA and BJJ training for over-16s, with pay-as-you-go classes from £5 and no experience needed.
This one's for the over-16s only, and that's a firm line: under-16s can only join in alongside a participating adult, and the gym says it's strict about it for insurance reasons. So if you're picturing a kids' activity, this isn't it. What you're actually getting is MMA, martial arts including BJJ, and fitness sessions built around a full-body workout, open to beginners with no prior experience expected.
Classes are £5 pay-as-you-go, which is a genuinely easy price to try before you commit to anything, and there's no membership required either, though they'll tell you it's worth it if you end up hooked. Private coaching runs £35 an hour, and you can split that with a training partner or two rather than going it alone. Booking is required before every class because of class size limits, so this isn't a turn-up-and-train sort of gym.
Equipment-wise, they've got spares for everything, so you don't need to arrive kitted out on day one. It's worth knowing the BJJ format, gi or no gi, isn't specified anywhere on their side, so that's one to ask about when you book. For anyone after a proper sweat rather than a fight career, they're clear that plenty of people train here purely for the fitness side, strength, endurance, flexibility and cardio all included.
