What it’s like

Themed paintball battles across bunker, castle and post-apocalyptic zones, with a lightweight Miniball option from age 7.

This is proper paintball, not a watered-down kids' version, though under-10s do get their own kit. Miniball uses lightweight, spring-loaded markers and smaller paintballs for the 7 to 10 crowd, while anyone 10 and up moves onto standard full-size equipment. Games run through themed zones, bunkers, castle walls, a post-apocalyptic setup, and the site talks up Top Gun certificates for whoever nails the objectives, which is exactly the kind of thing a nine-year-old will bring up at every family gathering afterwards.

Sessions are a proper chunk of the day: morning runs 10am to 1pm, afternoon 2pm to 5pm, three hours either way. Entry and equipment is £9.99 a head, then paintballs on top, with 100 costing £7.99 or bundled packs from £49.99 up to £89.99 for the Black Ops option. As a rough guide they reckon on 200 paintballs per game zone, so it's worth thinking about which pack actually covers your group rather than topping up on the day at the higher per-ball rate.

Birthday parties get their own structure, two hours a session, with Young Gunz packages from £26.99 including 300 paintballs per person up to £46.99 for 700. The birthday child gets a Sergeant armband and an upgraded sniper barrel, which is a nice touch if you've got a seven-year-old desperate to be in charge for once. Every player under 16 needs a registration form signed by a parent before arrival, and it's worth locking your slot in 10 to 14 days out since weekends sell out regularly.

One thing to flag: if you're running late, they may ask you to wait in the parking area until your team's ready. And paintball allocations for no-shows are forfeited outright, no transfers, so a firm headcount before you book saves an argument later.

How much does it cost?

Entry and equipment is £9.99 a person, then paintballs are extra, £7.99 for 100 or bundled packs from £49.99 to £89.99. As a rough guide, budget around 200 paintballs per game zone.

Do we need to book ahead?

Yes, and they recommend 10 to 14 days' notice since weekends often sell out. Last-minute slots do occasionally come up.

How long does a session last?

Morning sessions run 10am to 1pm and afternoons 2pm to 5pm, three hours each. Birthday party sessions are two hours.

Is there a registration form to fill in?

Every player completes an online form before arrival, and anyone under 16 needs it signed by a parent or guardian.
