What it’s like
Six themed lock-in rooms where you and your team solve puzzles against the clock, minimum age 14.
You get an hour, a locked room and a pile of puzzles designed to make you feel clever and then immediately not clever. There are six themed rooms to pick from, and the site is upfront that the tone varies a lot: Dragons Dungeon, Magic School and Mafia Robbery are pitched as fun rather than frightening, while The Haunted is the one that leans into actually scaring you. Worth knowing before you book which mood you're after.
This isn't one for younger kids. The minimum age is 14, and anyone under 16 needs an adult with them, so it's really a teens-and-up outing, a work night out, or a group of friends who fancy an hour of feeling smart together. Game masters watch your progress and send hints through built-in displays if you get stuck, which takes the edge off the panic a bit.
Pricing scales with group size rather than per head in a straightforward way: £58 for two players, up to £121 for five. It's not cheap for an hour, but you're paying for the room and the puzzle design, not a ticket each. If you want six players, only four of the six rooms will actually take that many, so check which room before you settle on numbers.
The puzzles themselves are built to work across languages, so if your group isn't all confident in English, that shouldn't be the thing that trips you up. The codes and clues are mostly visual or logical rather than wordplay-heavy.
