What it’s like

A three-storey soft play frame, ball pools and squeeze rollers to tire out anyone from babies to school-age kids.

The big draw is the three-storey play frame, the sort of thing that swallows a seven-year-old whole for a good hour. There are ball pools, squeeze rollers and a few fun rides dotted about too, plus a separate under-5s area so toddlers aren't getting flattened by bigger kids barrelling through.

Pricing is broken down by age rather than one flat fee, which is fair enough but means you'll want to add it up before you go. It's £7 for 1-4 year olds, £8 for 5 and up, and £2 for adults and under-1s. Weekday mornings before 3pm knock the 1-4s price down to £6, though that discount disappears on bank holidays and school holidays, which feels like exactly when you'd want the saving.

Sessions run for two hours. The café does the usual soft play spread, burgers, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, cakes, with children's meals around £4.50, and there's a play-and-eat combo with juice included if you'd rather sort food and play in one go. Birthday parties get a private room and two hours of play, £11.50 a child midweek or £13.50 at weekends, food included though party bags are £2 extra.

Sundays run a shorter day, 10am to 5pm, and Mondays don't open till noon unless it's a bank holiday. Worth knowing if you're planning a first-thing visit.
