What it’s like

A bakery for party food: sponge cakes, sausage rolls, bread and gluten-free options you order and collect.

This is a bakery, not somewhere to spend an afternoon with the kids. You go in, you order, you come out with the food for the party table. Sponge cakes, fruit cakes, sausage rolls, bread, flapjacks, Victoria sponge and shortbread are all on the list, and there's gluten-free, egg-free and dairy-free versions of things too, which is handy if one of the party guests has an allergy and you don't fancy baking a separate batch yourself.

It's open Tuesday to Friday, 8am to 3pm, and Saturday mornings until 2pm, closed Sunday and Monday from what's listed. That's a fairly tight window if you're used to popping into a supermarket at any hour, so plan the pickup around the school run or the weekend shop rather than leaving it as an afterthought.

There's no children's activity here and no seating area described, so don't treat it as a stop on the day out itself. Think of it as the bit of party admin you tick off beforehand: order the cake, grab the sausage rolls, get the shortbread for the adults, and take it all to wherever the actual celebrating is happening.
