What it’s like
Boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai classes across three rooms, with a £60 intro offer covering your first three sessions.
This one's adults only. It's a martial arts and boxing gym, and the classes are booked through the "Book A class" links on their site, so nobody's turning up and hoping for a space.
The class list is longer than most gyms' timetables: boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, Balance BJJ, plus yoga, stretch and mobility for the days your shoulders have had enough. Sessions run Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 9:30pm, Saturday 9am to 4pm and Sunday 10am to 3pm. That weekday spread is the good bit. You can get a session in before work or after the school run and not feel like you're squeezing it in.
If you've never done any of it, the intro offer takes the sting out of trying: three classes for £60. Three personal training sessions come in at £300, which is a proper commitment and worth thinking about rather than jumping at. Memberships and group bookings are both on the cards if you get on with it.
The catch is the booking rule. Everything has to be booked ahead, so a spontaneous Tuesday night won't work unless you've sorted it earlier in the day. Weekends shut earlier too, 4pm on Saturday and 3pm on Sunday, which rules out a lazy Sunday afternoon session.
