Bristol Big Screen - Private Cinema Hire
ENTRY
from £250
WHERE
Bristol
What it’s like
Hire a private 200 inch cinema room for the evening, bring your own snacks and drinks, and run the show yourselves.
This is a room you book out entirely, not a public screening with strangers three seats along. You get the 200 inch screen with 4K, 3D and Dolby Atmos sound for three hours, which is plenty of time for a film plus messing about on the console games beforehand. There's a kitchen set up like a bar, so you can lay out pizza and snacks and let the kids serve themselves and their mates, which takes the pressure off you for at least twenty minutes.
£250 gets you the room for the evening session, and if the film runs long or the party's still going, extra hours are £50 a pop. They'll hire you a popcorn machine for £15, though you'll need to sort the popcorn yourself, and there's a hot-dog style warmer for £10 if you want to feed people properly. It's not a licensed bar, so any drinks, alcohol included, you bring in yourselves.
Worth knowing before you book a birthday around it: they've stopped taking children's parties, so this reads more as a private film night for a small group than a party venue. Parking is tight too, just four spaces down a locked area at the end of Philip Street, and you need to arrange that in advance rather than turning up and hoping.
If you want a bit more space to spread out, there's a Green Room break-out area for £25 on top, handy if you don't want everyone crammed in front of the screen the whole time.

How much does it cost?
£250 for a 3 hour evening session, then £50 for each extra hour if you want to stay longer.
Can we do a birthday party there?
They've stopped catering for children's parties, so this is better suited to a film night than a party booking.
Can we bring our own food and drink?
You can bring pre-prepared food like pizza and use the kitchen area to serve it. It's not a licensed bar, so any alcohol or soft drinks need to be brought in yourselves.
Is there parking?
Just 4 spaces in a locked car park at the end of Philip Street, and you need to arrange this in advance rather than just turning up.
Can we hire extras like a popcorn machine?
Yes, a popcorn machine is £15 (you supply the popcorn), a food warming set is £10, and hot drinks come as a £10 carafe.
