What it’s like

Yoga classes for pregnancy, new parents and babies, plus adult drop-in sessions, in a studio just off Market Street.

This is a yoga studio rather than a soft play or a farm, and the classes reflect that. There's Pregnancy Yoga if you're expecting, Parent and Baby Yoga once the baby's arrived, and Baby Yoga on its own too. Alongside those sit the adult classes: Mandala Vinyasa Yoga, Restorative Breath x Yoga, and a Somatic Yoga Class, so you could easily build a week around bump, baby and yourself without going anywhere else.

Pricing is per class rather than a flat membership fee, and it adds up depending on what you go for. A single Mandala Vinyasa class is £10, or £6 for your first go, and a pack of four brings it down to £36. Restorative Breath x Yoga is £10 a class with a £5 concession rate, or £44 for a five week pass, which is the better deal if you know you'll keep showing up. Somatic Yoga in the studio is £12, £10 concession. There's also a difference between a class, which you pay for weekly, and a course, where you commit to an eight week run at the same time each week, works out cheaper and means you see the same faces.

Turn up on time if you can. You're allowed in up to 15 minutes late, but the site is honest that arriving late disrupts the flow and you'll likely miss the warm-up. Getting in is straightforward if you're on Market Street or Shudehill Metrolink, or walking from Piccadilly or Victoria stations, though the building itself has 6 steps at the entrance before you reach the lift, and staff can help if that's an issue.

If you're pregnant and nervous about doing yoga for the first time, or you've got a baby and want an excuse to get out of the house with other new parents, this covers both. It's less obviously set up for older kids, since everything on offer is aimed at bump, baby or adult.

Plan your visit

How much does a class cost?

It depends which one. Mandala Vinyasa is £10 a class or £6 for your first, Restorative Breath x Yoga is £10 (£5 concession), and Somatic Yoga in the studio is £12 (£10 concession).

Is it cheaper to book a block of classes?

Yes, a pack of four Mandala Vinyasa classes is £36 and a five week Restorative Breath x Yoga pass is £44, both working out less per session than paying as you go.

What's the difference between a class and a course?

A class is weekly pay-as-you-go. A course is an eight week block booked in advance at the same day and time, which is cheaper per class and means you're with the same group each week.

Can I turn up late?

You've got a 15 minute grace period, but arriving late means missing the warm-up and disrupting the flow for everyone else, so it's better to be on time.

Are there classes for babies or pregnancy?

There's Pregnancy Yoga, Baby Yoga, and Parent and Baby Yoga alongside the adult classes.

Is the building accessible?

There's a lift from the ground floor, but 6 steps at the main entrance first. Staff can help if you need it, and there are disabled parking spaces nearby along with NCP car parks.
