What it’s like

Live tribute gigs and club nights for 14+ teens, doors at 7pm, with free parking on site.

This is a proper gig venue, not a soft play or a farm, so it's one for the older end. It's 14+ across the board, and if your teenager is under 16 they need an adult with them, which is worth knowing before you promise them a night out with mates alone.

The listings run to tribute acts and covers nights, think Stone Roses tributes, Beatlemania, that sort of thing, with advance tickets from around £18. Buying ahead saves you money over paying on the door, and some shows are door-only anyway. Doors open at 7pm for every show, and they aim to have the music wrapped by 11 and the room cleared by half eleven, mainly so people can still catch a train or bus home. That's a fair length of night for a teenager, but check what time the actual bands go on since it varies show to show.

Don't bother packing snacks for the car journey in. No food or drink is allowed in with you, sweets and gum included, and anything you're carrying gets searched and confiscated, so eat before you arrive. There's free water at the bars if anyone gets thirsty. Sound levels get properly loud, over 105db at times, which is worth bearing in mind if anyone in your group is sensitive to noise or brings an assistance animal, since the venue itself suggests a carer ticket might work better than bringing the animal on those nights.

Parking's free and there's a decent sized car park on site, with on-street options nearby if it's rammed. Tickets need to be printed too, a phone screen at the door won't do it, which feels a bit old-fashioned but it's their rule.
