What it’s like

A pumpkin patch where you pick your own straight from the field, open from the 2nd of October.

Pumpkin picking is the whole point here. You wander the field and choose your own, rather than grabbing one that's already been pulled and piled up by the entrance, which makes a slower job of it in a good way if you've got small legs in tow keen to inspect every option.

It opens on the 2nd of October, and the hours split the week in two. Friday afternoon and evening runs 4pm to 8pm, so if you fancy picking pumpkins as the light's fading that's your slot. Weekends are the daytime option, 9am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday, which is probably the easier one with younger kids who won't thank you for a torch-lit trudge through mud.

There's on-site food, so you're not relying on packing snacks for the trip. Parking is in a field, with a team in high-vis jackets on hand to point you in and out, which is the sort of detail that suggests they've done this before and know a muddy field car park needs a bit of traffic management.
