What it’s like
A relaxed café bar in Nottingham with a kids menu, same menu all day and room to just walk in.
This is the kind of café bar where nobody minds if you turn up with a toddler at 10am or a group at 6pm. The menu doesn't change through the day, so a full English at 4pm or a burger for breakfast is fine by them, and there's a proper kids menu alongside gluten-free and vegan options if your table has different needs.
Money-wise, the lunch deal is the one to know: a mug of soup and half a grilled cheese toastie for £6.95, Monday to Friday between 12 and 5. After 5pm the room shifts a bit more towards drinks, with the Lounge Cocktail Club and Tapas Tuesday both aimed at adults having a proper sit-down rather than a quick bite with the kids.
It's walk-in for tables of six or fewer, so no faff booking ahead for a normal family visit. Bigger groups, six or more, need to get in touch first. There's wifi if you need to keep a teenager occupied, and it's dog friendly if the whole gang's coming along, four legs included.
Opening hours run 9am to 11pm Sunday to Thursday and 9am to midnight Friday and Saturday, with last orders about an hour before close. It's wheelchair accessible, though they're upfront that some of their buildings have their own quirks, so it's the sort of thing to flag when you get in touch if it matters for your visit.
