Basford United's ground on Greenwich Avenue is a compact non-league football ground where a family can watch a Saturday afternoon match for a fraction of the price of the City Ground or Meadow Lane, with a clubhouse bar open on match days. The club runs a large junior section across age groups.
Each autumn the ground hosts a funfair and fireworks night with rides, food stalls and a licensed bar. There is no general parking on site for big events; Highbury Vale tram stop is a five-minute walk and buses stop nearby.
