What it’s like
An eight-lane floodlit track, a new 3G pitch you can split down to five-a-side, and floodlights that keep Saturday going till five.
The track is the headline: eight lanes, 400 metres, floodlit, so a club night or a school session can run after dark. If your kids are the football sort rather than the running sort, the brand-new 3G pitch is fully floodlit and splits down into smaller games, one nine-a-side, two seven-a-side or four five-a-side, which is handy when you've got a mixed bunch and nobody agrees on team sizes. There's table tennis too, and five grass pitches for proper five-, seven- and 11-a-side matches.
The pitches are the reason most families end up here rather than the track. Booking matters more than anything else on this page, because a pitch is either free or it isn't and there's no way to know until you ask. Worth noting before you promise a Saturday morning kickabout.
Opening hours lean late in the week: 09:00 to 22:00 Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 on Saturday, and only 10:00 to 14:00 on Sunday. That Sunday window is short enough that you'd want to arrive close to ten if you've got a full game planned.
The centre is step-free, with a ramp to the main entrance, lift access to all floors, and accessible unisex toilets, showers, changing and lockers. Accessible parking bays are on site if you're driving. Facilities can be hired for a birthday party, which they say they'll help you sort.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost to use the track or a pitch?
There's no price listed for the track or the pitches. You'd need to ask the centre directly when you ring about a booking.
Do we need to book?
For a pitch, yes, since the 3G slots get taken. Ring the centre and they'll tell you what's free.
What are the opening hours?
09:00 to 22:00 Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 Saturday, and 10:00 to 14:00 Sunday. The Sunday window is the tight one.
Can we hold a birthday party there?
Yes. The centre says facilities can be hired for a birthday party and they'll help you arrange it.
Is it suitable for wheelchair users?
There's a ramp to the main entrance, lift access to all floors, and accessible unisex toilets, showers, changing and lockers. Accessible parking bays are on site.
Is there anything indoors if it rains?
This is an outdoor centre. The 3G pitch and the track are both floodlit, so a wet evening session still works.
