What it’s like
An underwater-themed soft play in Barnsley with a toddler zone, a big wooden frame for over-fives and a digital Multiball wall.
The theme here is underwater, and it's split by age rather than just being one big free-for-all. Under-fives get a gentle exploration area to pootle about in, while the main adventure zone with its wooden play frame is aimed at the 5 to 12 crowd who want to actually climb something. There's also a Multiball wall that mixes physical play with a digital game, which is the bit that'll probably get mentioned on the way home, and a Games Room for 8 to 14s, though that one shuts weekdays during term time so don't plan around it if you're going on a Tuesday afternoon.
Sessions run about two hours, and on busy days that's enforced rather than a suggestion, so don't expect to linger past your slot if there's a queue out the door. It's £8 for a child aged 4 to 14, £6 for a toddler, and £3 for under-1s (free under six months), which stacks up if you've got more than one. Card only for getting in, no cash, though the Shark Shack snack bar will take coins if you just want a coffee and a sit down.
Food covers the usual soft play spread, pastries and breakfasts through to burgers and baked potatoes, with a £6.50 kids' menu that includes a drink. Buggies get parked under the staircase near the changing village, though you'll want a £1 coin or a trolley token for that, which is a small faff if you've emptied your pockets into the car's cupholder already.
Parking's free on site, which takes the sting out of the entry price a bit. It's fully wheelchair accessible with accessible toilets and baby changing, and there's a sensory space for neurodivergent kids running during any session, not a separate bookable slot. Parties run 1.5 hours with a reserved area and hot basket meals, but they need a minimum of 12 children and you're charged for that minimum even if fewer turn up, which is worth knowing before you commit to a number.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost?
£8 for a child aged 4 to 14, £6 for a toddler aged 1 to 3, and £3 for under-1s. Under six months goes in free.
Do we need to book?
Walk-ins are welcome if there's space, but they recommend booking online to get the session time you want. It's card only or online for admission, no cash.
How long do we get?
Sessions run about two hours. During busy periods that limit gets enforced, so speak to staff on the day if you want longer.
Is it suitable for a toddler?
There's a gentle exploration area for under-fives separate from the main frame, so a toddler isn't getting mown down by an eight-year-old.
What about older kids?
The main play frame suits 5 to 12 year olds, and there's a Games Room for 8 to 14s, though that's closed weekdays during term time.
Can teenagers come along?
Over-12s can come to accompany younger siblings but can't use the play frame themselves unless they're in the Chill Out Zone for 8 plus.
Is there food on site?
Yes, a menu covering pastries, breakfasts, burgers and baked potatoes, plus a £6.50 kids' menu with a meal and drink included.
Can we bring a birthday cake?
Birthday cake is fine but no other outside food is allowed.
What's included in a party?
1.5 hours of play, a reserved party area, hot basket meals, unlimited cordial and a free return voucher for the birthday child. Minimum 12 children, and you're charged for that minimum even if fewer show up.
Is there parking?
Free parking on site.
Is it accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs?
Fully wheelchair accessible with accessible toilets and baby changing. Pushchairs get parked under the staircase near the changing village, and you'll need a £1 coin or trolley token for that.
Is there anything for sensory needs?
There's an interactive sensory space for neurodivergent children, available during any session rather than as a separate booking.
