Go-Karting in Manchester
If your kids are after speed rather than soft padded blocks, there's one proper option here: TeamSport Go Karting at Trafford Park, not far out from the centre. It's an indoor track, 450 metres over multiple levels with a flyover section, so you get that swoop under another bit of circuit which always gets a reaction. There's also a Mini Racer version for smaller drivers, and the age range runs from 4 right up to 99, so grandparents can have a go too. Booking ahead is required rather than optional, and it's card only on the day, so don't turn up with cash expecting to pay. Parking's free, there's food on site if racing works up an appetite, and they take group bookings for birthdays. Being indoors, it doesn't matter what the weather's doing outside, and the accessible toilet and blue badge parking mean it's easy for wider family groups to plan around.
