Walking & Cycling Trails in Leeds
Meanwood Valley Trail is the one to know first, a 7-mile route through Woodhouse Ridge, Meanwood Park and on to Golden Acre Park, good for walking, cycling or running, and dog friendly all the way. Leeds Urban Bike Park & Cafe has free mountain bike trails and tracks plus coaching, and a café doing full breakfasts for afterwards. Rein Park is smaller and gentler, wide flat paths for bikes and scooters, a playground with swings and slides, and free parking. For toddlers or anyone with a pushchair, Rein Park is the easy choice, flat, wheelchair accessible and with a playground to fall back on if legs give out. If you want proper distance and don't mind bringing a picnic, Meanwood Valley Trail has toilets along the way and plenty of room to spread out. Cyclists after something more structured should head for the bike park, where coaching sessions and the café mean you can make a morning of it without much planning.
