Books and Banter

A free themed book discussion evening at the Williamson Art Gallery, open chat with no set book to read.

Books and Banter is a relaxed book discussion group at the Williamson Art Gallery & Museum in Birkenhead. There's no specific book you need to have read, just a theme to talk around, and the chat is guided but not restricted, so tangents are welcome if the conversation wanders. It suits anyone who enjoys talking about books and ideas rather than sticking rigidly to a reading list. The session runs on Friday 9 October 2026 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at the gallery on Slatey Road, Oxton, and it's free to attend.
