Free Christmas shopping fair at the Assembly Rooms with artists, designers and makers selling only their own original work.

The Assembly Rooms Christmas Fair returns for another year of festive shopping in Edinburgh, set in the grand surrounds of the Assembly Rooms. Every stallholder sells only work they have made themselves, covering art, craft and design, so it's a good spot to pick up handmade gifts and decorations rather than mass produced stock. This year there's no entry fee, so you can wander round and browse the stalls without having to pay to get in. It runs over two days in early December, making it an easy addition to a weekend of Christmas shopping in the city centre.
