Patrick Hamilton's Victorian psychological thriller Gaslight, staged at the Talisman Theatre, Kenilworth.

The Talisman Theatre and Arts Centre presents Gaslight, Patrick Hamilton's classic Victorian thriller about manipulation, secrets and suspense, directed by Julien Rosa. The Manninghams seem the perfect couple, but behind the elegant façade of their London home something sinister is unfolding: Bella begins to doubt her own sanity, Jack disappears on strange errands, objects go missing, and footsteps echo from the attic above. This is the play that gave us the term "gaslighting", presented as an amateur production by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd on behalf of Samuel French Ltd. The age recommendation is 12+ or at parental discretion, with trigger warnings for manipulation, abusive relationships and themes of mental illness, so this is one to think about before bringing younger children.
