Alan gives an evening talk at Stafford Castle Visitor Centre on the 960th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings, exploring the story behind the Bayeux Tapestry. This is an adults-only event and tickets are limited, offered at a celebratory price of £5. Free onsite parking is available, and the ticket price includes tea, coffee and biscuits, with hot pasties available to buy on the night. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible with no steps needed to get in, and the front doors can be opened wide if required; an accessible toilet is in a nearby building, and staff are on hand to help if needed.
