Welcome to Storytime with Gruffalo Granny at Sherwood Pines

Free half-term family day at Sherwood Pines with Gruffalo Granny storytelling and a visit from The Gruffalo.

Head to Sherwood Pines on Tuesday 27 October for a free family day celebrating the brand-new Gruffalo Granny story from Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. The main action is in the Visitor Centre area, with Gruffalo Granny storytelling sessions and appearances from The Gruffalo himself happening at intervals throughout the day, so keep a camera handy for a selfie. Meet-and-greets take place in the Classroom. Alongside the storytelling and character visits, there's bubble art and colouring plus a build your own forest activity to get stuck into. Copies of Gruffalo Granny are available to buy on the day if you want to take one home. It's all first-come, first-served with no booking needed, but sessions may get busy so arrive early to avoid missing out. Some elements are indoors and some outdoors, so dress for the weather.
