An exhibition at Sheringham Museum on three local artists, marking 50 years of the town's history.
This exhibition brings together the work of three artists connected to Sheringham: John Craske, Cecil Hewitt and Tom Armes. Craske was born and schooled in the town, Hewitt spent long family holidays there, and Armes retired to Sheringham in later life. Despite coming from very different backgrounds and never meeting one another, each had a supportive family network and overcame health conditions that shaped their lives, channelling that experience into their art. The display celebrates their work and marks the last 50 years of Sheringham Town, from 1975 to 2025. It runs alongside the museum's usual collection of social history, fishing and agricultural artefacts, ganseys and historic boats, so it suits anyone visiting the museum for an hour or two rather than a standalone trip. The museum is open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4.30pm, and is included within standard museum admission.
