Youth theatre whodunit spoof at People's Theatre, with a murder at a family gathering and a houseful of suspects.
The Young People's Theatre performs this comic whodunit parody by Rick Abbot. Guest Barnaby Folcey arrives at a family gathering at Marlgate Manor with a motive to murder everyone there, so it's a surprise when he's the one who ends up dead. Before he dies he manages to scrawl the letters "b-a-r", which doesn't narrow things down much, and the eccentric guests have to work out who did it amid disappearing guests, poisoned sherry, hidden treasure and a baffling limerick. It runs for three evenings, Thursday to Saturday, in the Studio at People's Theatre, with unallocated seating. Tickets are £11.50, with a concession price of £9 for seniors on Pension Credit, under-16s, students and unwaged patrons; anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Latecomers can't be admitted once the performance starts, and there's no re-entry once it has begun.
