The Wind in the Willows

A family stage comedy following Mole, Rat, Badger and Mr Toad as Toad Hall is threatened by weasels.

This comedy adaptation of The Wind in the Willows brings Mole, Rat, Badger and the reckless Mr Toad to the Gladstone Theatre stage. Toad's love of speed gets him into deep trouble, and with Toad Hall under threat from the Chief Weasel and his gang of Wild Wooders, the friends must band together to win it back, through plenty of scrapes and a happy ending. There's humour, music and a gentle message about friendship, making it suitable for family audiences. Performances run from Thursday 22nd to Saturday 24th October 2026, with evening shows at 7:30pm each night and an additional matinee at 2:30pm on the Saturday. Doors open 45 minutes before each performance. Tickets are £18 standard, £12 for concessions and under-16s, or £50 for a family ticket, plus booking fees.
