The Royal Ballet: The Nutcracker

A big-screen cinema broadcast of The Royal Ballet's The Nutcracker at the Gala Theatre.

The Royal Ballet's classic Christmas production of The Nutcracker is screened live on the big screen at the Gala Theatre & Cinema in Durham. It's a cinema broadcast rather than a live stage show, so you get the full ballet with the usual cinema seating and screen. This is a one-off screening on Tuesday 1 December 2026 at 7.15pm, a good seasonal outing for anyone who enjoys ballet, classical music or a Christmas treat. Tickets at the Gala are usually £5 across the board, though special screenings like this one can be priced differently, so check at booking.
