Rapunzel

Gala Durham's festive pantomime Rapunzel runs from 19 November to 31 December 2026.

Rapunzel is this year's Christmas pantomime at the Gala Theatre in Durham, a Gala Durham Production written by Gary Kitching and directed by Maria Crocker, with musical direction and arrangements by James Hedges and choreography by Helen. Expect the usual panto mix of songs, jokes and audience participation as the classic fairy tale gets the family theatre treatment. The show suits families looking for a seasonal theatre outing in Durham, running over a long stretch from 19 November through to 31 December 2026, so there's plenty of choice over half term and the Christmas and New Year period. A relaxed performance version is also staged separately during this run for those who need a calmer sensory environment.
