Observatories & Planetariums in Coventry
There isn't an observatory or planetarium inside Coventry itself, so this list means a drive out. A longer trip out to Leicester gets you the National Space Centre, with a planetarium show, rockets to climb through and hands-on galleries about space, tickets from £20. Closer, a drive out to Birmingham has Thinktank, Birmingham Science Museum, where £9.95 gets you MiniBrum, over 200 hands-on exhibits and a 4K planetarium show. Thinktank is the cheaper option and probably the better bet for younger children, with baby change and a picnic area if you want to break the day up. The National Space Centre costs more but leans further into space itself, and it takes group bookings if you are going with a school or club. Both are indoors, so weather is not a factor, and both have parking and wheelchair access sorted.
