Scouts, Guides, Cadets & Youth Clubs in Bristol
Bristol has a strong scouting scene once you start looking. The 58th Bristol Scout Group runs weekly sessions for ages 6 to 14, split by age from Beavers up to Scouts, with volunteers leading camping, hiking, abseiling and canoeing rather than sitting round in a circle. A bit further out, the 37th Kingswood Scouts HQ takes a wider span, 6 to 25, and works through badges by climbing, cycling and canoeing rather than sitting still for an hour. If your child is younger, the Beavers side of the 58th is the gentler entry point, while older kids or teenagers looking to stay involved longer will find more scope at Kingswood, where the age range stretches right up to 25. Both are volunteer-run and built around doing rather than watching, so trainers and old clothes matter more than anything smart. Weekly sessions mean it is worth planning around term time.
