Zoos & Wildlife Parks in Belfast

Two very different days out here. World of Owls is a longer trip out to Randalstown, where you can see rescued owls and other birds of prey up close, then walk next door in Randalstown Forest. Tickets start from £9 and it takes ages 3 to 15, with a cafe and gift shop on site, plus it takes school and group visits. Closer in, RSPB Belfast's Window on Wildlife sits right on Belfast Lough, looking out over hides at lapwings, terns and Konik ponies. If cost matters, the RSPB reserve is free and has on-site food, baby changing and blue badge parking, so it is easy with younger children in tow. World of Owls suits older children who want to get close to the birds and take something home from the shop, and it works for group bookings too. Wrap up warm either way, since both are mostly outdoor visits.
