Homework & After-School Clubs in Sheffield

Homework clubs in Sheffield tend to live inside bigger community buildings rather than as stand-alone businesses, and the two here are good examples. The U-Mix Centre, about two kilometres from the centre, is really a hire-by-the-hour venue with a 3G football pitch, dance studio and recording studio, so children can do homework in a room then switch to something more active for a fiver's worth of hour. Sharrow Community Forum, also close to the centre, folds a youth club and holiday activity sessions in alongside its baby and toddler group and junior boxing, so older children have somewhere to go after school as well as younger ones. Neither charges much to get through the door: The U-Mix Centre starts from £1. If your child wants structure and a quiet corner, ask what's running that day, since both venues mix drop-in sessions with clubs. Sharrow has a cafe and indoor seating if you fancy waiting rather than doing the school run twice.
