What it’s like
Group cookery sessions near Old Street where you make pasta, pizza or sushi with a chef, drinks included.
This one's built for groups rather than a solo booking: think work do, birthday party or a get-together where everyone wants to make something and eat it after. You pick a menu, a chef guides the room, and the sessions cover pasta making, pizza, sushi, knife skills or baking and desserts depending on what you go for. Alcoholic drinks are included in the package, which tells you this is aimed at adults having a good time in a kitchen rather than a quiet Tuesday class.
Groups run from 12 up to 60, so it's not somewhere you'd turn up as a pair looking for a date night, it's set up for a proper gathering. Every dietary requirement gets catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and allergy-specific, which is handy if you're wrangling a big group with different needs. The venue is on City Road, a short walk from Old Street station.
They also run kitchen hire for meetings and a Cookery Challenge format alongside the usual sessions, and Christmas parties get their own two or three course menu with drinks and equipment thrown in. It's open daily from half seven in the morning right up to half eleven at night, which is a wide window if you're trying to fit a booking around work hours.
