What it’s like
Carvery and Sunday roast pub with a beer garden for when the kids need somewhere to escape the table.
This is a carvery pub rather than an activity venue, so the main event is the food. There's a proper on-site restaurant doing carvery and seasonal specials, plus the usual bar drinks, and it opens early on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays if you fancy a breakfast start before the roast crowd arrives.
The beer garden is the bit that saves you when a toddler's had enough of sitting still. It's not a play area as such, just outdoor space with a family feel, but it means you can let them wander while the adults finish their drinks. Dogs are welcome too, so it works if you're bringing the whole crew, four legs included.
Parking's on site and the place is wheelchair accessible, which takes the faff out of getting a buggy or a wheelchair in. There's wifi if you need to keep half an eye on something, and EV charging if that's how you're getting there.
Sundays are obviously the one to plan around given the roast reputation, and with no booking link listed here, ringing ahead for a weekend table seems the sensible move rather than turning up and hoping.
