What it’s like
A live music venue and bar in Leeds that only suits teenagers old enough to be at a gig, not a family day out.
This one's a bit different from the usual family listing. The Wardrobe is a live music venue with a kitchen attached, and the age line on this is firm: 14 and up. So if you're picturing an afternoon out with younger kids, this isn't it, it's really a spot for older teenagers who are into gigs and want somewhere with a proper sound system rather than a school hall.
Opening hours stretch late, midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, which tells you who this is built for. Sundays are shorter and calmer, running only until 6pm, and that's also when the kitchen does a Sunday Roast rather than the usual menu. The kitchen runs Tuesday to Saturday too, closed Mondays, and Monday opening in general depends on whether there's a gig on, so it's not a day to just turn up on spec.
Parking's the honest downside here. Street parking is genuinely limited. For a night out with an older teen who's keen on live music, it does the job well; for anything younger, look elsewhere.

Plan your visit
What age is this suitable for?
14 and up. It's a gig venue and bar, not set up for younger children.
Is there parking?
Barely any on the street right outside. Victoria Gate car park and NCP Kirkgate are both about 500 to 600 metres away, or there's a drop-off point at the entrance.
Can we get food there?
The kitchen runs Tuesday to Saturday, 12 to 9pm, and does a Sunday Roast from 12 to 4pm on Sundays. It's closed Mondays.
Is it open on Mondays?
Sometimes, but only when there's a gig on. Don't rely on a Monday visit without checking what's on.
