What it’s like

A Stirling live music venue where under-18-month-olds get in free as "babes in arms", the rest need their own seat.

This is a gig venue rather than a soft play, so what your kids do here depends entirely on what's on. What the site is clear about is the babes-in-arms rule: children 18 months or under don't get charged, because they're not taking up a seat. Anyone older needs their own ticket, so it's not somewhere you can sneak an extra toddler in on your lap and hope nobody notices.

There's a Café Bar on site with vegetarian options, and the bar itself closes before the show starts and again during the interval, so don't leave your snack run too late if you fancy a proper break at half time. Tickets are e-tickets now, which you can show on your phone or print at home for free. Printing at the box office costs a quid, a small but faintly annoying fee if your printer's out of ink.

Parking is free at the Old Town Jail Car Park when you're attending an event, which takes the sting out of a Stirling town centre trip. There's a lift and accessible entrance, but if you need an accessible area for the show itself, that has to be booked ahead with the box office rather than sorted on the door, since space varies event by event and isn't guaranteed. Carer tickets are available too, though only in limited numbers.
