What it’s like

Two adventure golf courses through jungle scenery in Edgware, pay on the day and go straight round.

Eighteen holes or thirty-six, that's the first decision, and it's worth making before you get to the till. The shorter course suits a toddler who'll lose interest by hole twelve, while the thirty-six-hole round is the one to save for when you've got an older kid who wants the full jungle trek and won't moan halfway round. Either way it's outdoors, so a dry afternoon makes a real difference to how much anyone enjoys chasing a golf ball through fake foliage.

There's foot golf too if putters aren't landing well with your crew, kicking a ball round instead of swatting it. Under-13s need an adult with them, but past that there's no real age ceiling, so a grandparent and a five-year-old can happily play the same round together.

Money-wise, it stings a bit if you've got more than two kids: the family ticket helps but infants aren't free, they're £3.50 plus £1.50 for every year of age, so a toddler still costs something even at eighteen holes. It's card only, so leave the cash at home. Parking's free on site, which takes the edge off the ticket price, and there's no booking system to fight with, you just turn up and pay when you arrive.

One genuine faff: you can't bring your own food or drink unless you've booked a party. There's ice cream on site, but if a picnic was part of your plan, it isn't happening here unless it's a party booking.

Plan your visit

Do we need to book?

No, it's pay and play. Turn up, pay at the till, and get going.

How much does it cost?

Eighteen holes is £13 for an adult, thirty-six is £19.50. Family tickets bring the per-head cost down if there's a few of you, and infants get a small age-based fee rather than going free.

Is it any good for a toddler?

Eighteen holes is the better bet than the full thirty-six for a little one's attention span. Infants aren't free though, so factor that in even for a two-year-old who'll mostly just wander.

Can we bring a picnic?

Not unless you've booked a party, in which case you can bring your own food, drink and cake. Otherwise it's card-only spending on site, with ice cream available.

Is there parking?

Free parking on site, no need to feed a meter or hunt for a space streets away.

Is it wheelchair accessible?

Yes, and there's a disabled toilet on site too.

What about baby changing?

There isn't any, so plan around that if you've got a very small one with you.

Can we do birthday parties there?

With a minimum of ten children. You get a free party room for an hour and a jungle pack with crayons and stickers, or pay a bit more and add ice cream.

How do we pay?

Card only, no cash accepted, so don't turn up expecting to pay with notes.

What age is it suitable for?

Anyone, really, from babies to grandparents, though under-13s need an adult playing alongside them.

Is there foot golf as well as adventure golf?

There is, kicking a ball round rather than putting, with its own pricing and ball hire if you don't bring your own.

What are the opening hours?

They shift through the year, shorter days in winter and much later finishes in summer, so the time you can get round changes depending on when you go.
