What it’s like
A local stage in Idle putting on Rapunzel this January, with a performing arts academy running alongside it.
This is a proper community theatre doing a proper panto. Rapunzel is booked in for two weekends in January 2027, the 15th to 17th and the 22nd to 24th, so you've got two windows to catch it if the first one clashes with something.
Alongside the panto there's the ITKids Academy of Performing Arts, so if your child comes out buzzing after the show there's somewhere for that energy to go rather than just fading by bedtime. It's the sort of setup where the audience today could be on the stage next year.
Parking's on-site but limited, which for a panto weekend probably means turning up with a bit of slack in your schedule rather than pulling in five minutes before curtain up. There are toilets on site, which sounds obvious to mention but matters more than you'd think with a small one wriggling through a two-hour show.
