What it’s like
A large Loughborough indoor climbing centre with bouldering, top-rope lines, child-friendly circuits, training and a cafe.
The Climbing Station is an indoor climbing centre on Empress Road in Loughborough, around 9-10 miles from Leicester. It has 800 square metres of bouldering, 11 coloured circuits from VB to V8+, eight bottom-rope lines up to 6 metres, and dedicated training areas.
Child-friendly circuits are available, including an upstairs child-friendly area. First-time registration varies by age and experience, and inductions, family inductions and birthday parties use the centre's booking links. Regular climbing is available after registration.
There is a cafe, parking and bike racks. Birthday parties are instructor-led from age 7, with a maximum ratio of one instructor to six climbers. This is a day-trip venue rather than a Leicester city-centre gym.
