What it’s like
Weekly drama classes and holiday camps for ages 5 to 25, from first stage nerves to proper audition coaching.
This is a drama school rather than a one-off outing, so the classes run week on week, Tuesday to Friday, and cover ages 5 right up to 25. Younger ones go into Youth Theatre groups working on performance and skills, while the 18 to 25s move into the Young Company, doing their own creative and performance projects rather than following a set syllabus.
If your teenager has their eye on drama school, there's specific audition coaching listed too, which is a nice thing to have nearby if that conversation ever comes up in your house. For the school holidays there are Easter and Summer camps, useful if you need somewhere for a drama-mad kid to spend a week that isn't just screens.
You can try before you commit: the first class is £10 as a taster, which is a sensible way to find out if your five-year-old actually wants to do this or just liked the idea of it. There are also free and discounted places through their Access Fund and Bursaries page, worth a look if the regular class fees would be a stretch.
