What it’s like

A Bristol venue mixing film screenings, live music, dance classes and open-mic nights, with tickets from around £3.50.

This is a proper mixed bag of a venue, and that's the appeal if you've got an older kid who's into music or film rather than soft play and slides. On the programme are film screenings, salsa and ballet classes, open-mic nights and live music and dance events, so a teenager with an interest in performing might get more out of an evening here than most comedy clubs manage.

Prices swing about depending on what's on. Film screenings start around £3.50 and climb to £8.50, the Bristol Comedy Chest is £5, and some of the dance nights and workshops run £12 to £16, with a Feldenkrais workshop up at £35 to £40. There's no single ticket price to quote you, so it's worth treating each event as its own booking decision rather than assuming the venue has one flat rate.

Downstairs is fully wheelchair accessible with an accessible toilet, which is more than a lot of older buildings manage, but the upstairs studio is stairs only and the patio garden needs a few steps too. There's no car park attached, just paid on-street parking on Dean Lane and around, and Temple Meads is about a 25-minute walk if you fancy the train instead.
