What it’s like

Ride a little steam train through the cuttings then burn energy on the play areas, from £4 for children.

Ride a little 15-inch narrow-gauge steam train through the cuttings, then burn energy on the under-5s and adventure play areas. Well-behaved dogs on leads ride free.

Steam runs every day from February half-term until the end of November, 11:00-16:30. Children from £4 and adults from £5. Walk-up on the day - no mandatory pre-book is stated on the operator site.

The ticket office is open daily; Colleens Cabin covers food, ice cream and souvenirs at weekends and in local school holidays. It is an outdoor seasonal railway, so dress for the weather and note the winter closure after November until February half-term.
